About me

I'm David Young, owner and inspector of KTL Property Inspections. I've lived in Pickens and Cherokee counties all my life, and I'm married with three children.

My connection to the construction industry started long before I became a home inspector. I grew up working alongside my family and have spent much of my life around residential construction, gaining hands-on experience with projects ranging from building and painting to trim work, flooring, and gutters.

Before entering the home inspection industry, I spent more than 20 years working in manufacturing, including 10 years in supervision. Those years helped shape my approach to work: pay attention to the details, take pride in doing things right, and understand the importance of responsibility, consistency, and clear communication.

Today, I bring that combination of hands-on construction knowledge and professional experience to every home inspection. My goal is to help buyers, sellers, and homeowners better understand the condition of their property through thorough inspections, detailed reporting, and straightforward communication.

I understand that a home is one of the biggest investments a person can make. I take that responsibility seriously and want every client to feel informed, comfortable asking questions, and confident about their next steps.
